About us
Where we're coming from
The i-to-i Foundation was started by Deirdre Bounds after she visited an orphanage in Nepal. She found herself helping to care for a newborn child that had been abandoned and couldn’t help but think that there must be something more that we could do to help. On her return to the UK she set up the i-to-i Foundation. It works by i-to-i supporting the running costs and administration side of the charity, so that we can concentrate your donations, as well as funds raised by charity-sponsored projects and i-to-i fundraising events into worthwhile grants awarded to our projects overseas.

Where we're heading
The i-to-i Foundation is undergoing a period of exciting changes that include a charity forum, newsletters, events and charity challenge partnerships. Keep a look out on our
'How can I help?' page to see how you can become an ambassador for our charity.
The i-to-i Charity is aiming to raise £75,000 in 2007/2008. So far we have raised over
£7000 since June 2007.
Carbon offsetting
In the last few months many carbon offset schemes have been found to be ill-considered and questionable in their aims. This is why the i-to-i Foundation is currently reviewing a workable and viable carbon offset scheme that will specifically benefit carefully selected i-to-i projects that have proven their commitment to offset their carbon emissions.
In the meantime, if you're looking to volunteer, why not consider projects that will help you reduce your environmental impact by actively working to protect and restore fragile ecosystems. You can choose a project here.
