Teaching English in Spanish Summer Camps
Spain is one of the most popular countries for both the first-time and seasoned TEFL teacher. It provides you the opportunity to get paid work in a great climate and live a laid back life-style.
With the vision of cultural exchange, quality and authenticity in mind, we are inviting applicants to participate in summer camps, which will be both a challenging and rewarding personal and professional experience.
A Few Details...
By taking an i-to-i TEFL job in Spain you can expect to earn $400 per week.
What can you expect in Spain?
- Salary: $400 per week. This amount includes a small travel allowance to help towards your trip to Spain.
- Accommodation: in Madrid for the day training and preparation period before camp (does not include food); shared accommodation in the camp during the camp sessions and mid-camp preparation days (should the camp schedule allow).
- Food:breakfast, lunch, dinner and a mid-day snack each day of camp and mid-camp break.
- Locations: Costa Brava, Costa Blanca, Guadalajara, Pyrenees, Salamanca & Cuenca.
- Contract length: From 2 weeks to 8 weeks (duration will be confirmed at a later date with our partner in Spain)
- Student age range: 8 to 16 years old
- Orientation and training: Normally meeting point in Madrid 1 day before starting or travel directions to site.
- Departure dates: July & August.
- Teaching: You will be teaching with well-resourced schools.
- Cost of living: You will not need much money as accommodation and meals are included. >
Requirements for Spain
Essential
- Studying towards a University degree.
- Native English speaker and EU Passport holder.
- TEFL qualification (100-hr TEFL Course included).
- Some teaching or working experience with children (paid or voluntary)
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic IT skills
- A motivating, enthusiastic and outgoing personality
Desirable
- Educated to degree level
- Experience in summer camps
- Ability to speak Spanish, although you may NOT use your Spanish to communicate with the campers
- Presentation and performance skills with large groups
- CRB checked

1. What age and level of students will I be teaching?
You will be teaching students between 8 and 16 years old
2. How many students will there be in each class?
Usually, there is 12 - 15 students per class
3. How long are the classes?
Classes are 45 – 50 minutes.
4. Are there any teaching resources?
There will be plenty of resources available to you.
5. Will I be teaching alone or team teaching?
You will be the only and main teacher in the classroom
6. What kind of school will I be teaching in?

You will need to write a letter of resignation with some reasonable notice.
6. What will my accommodation be like?
