Argentina has a relatively healthy TEFL jobs market and the demand for trained TEFL teachers seems to remain pretty constant. Most TEFL jobs in Argentina are to be found in the capital Buenos Aires and it's usually a lot easier to find work if you have a recognised TEFL certificate, a degree and some previous experience. As with much of Latin America, being able to speak a little Spanish will make your day to day life loads simpler.
Most TEFL jobs in Argentina focus on teaching business English through private tuition, rather than working in state schools. There is also a growing demand for conversational English classes, which means there are more opportunities for inexperienced TEFL teachers to teach English in Argentina than in many parts of Latin America.
The average wage is about 2,000 to 3,000 pesos a month, which is around US$500 to US$760. You'll pay around 12% tax on a teacher's wage and the cost of living is pretty low. The only exception to this is the cost of an apartment in Buenos Aires, which can make a real dent in your pay packet. But if you go for shared accommodation with other teachers you should be fine.

It is not the largest TEFL jobs market in the world, but people with business English experience should be able to find well-paid work teaching English in Cordoba.
Rosario has one of Argentina's fastest growing economic centers and offers ample opportunity for people looking for TEFL jobs in Argentina. It is also the birthplace of three of Argentina's most recognizable exports: the national flag, Che Guevara and Lionel Messi.
