Wages and Cost of Living
In Quito inexperienced TEFL teachers can expect to make around US$400 to US$700 a month. Teachers with more experience and qualifications, can command a salary of nearer US$1000. Teachers who offer private lessons can earn around US$9 to US$12 an hour. The wages outside of the capital are a little lower. These kind of wages will enable you to live comfortably in Ecuador due to the low cost of living.
