South Thailand Teaching Positions

Teach to Travel’s Thai positions are all based in the south of Thailand, along the peninsula of land in between the Islands. The positions themselves are government primary and secondary schools, perfect for anybody wanting to teach English in Thailand. The teacher has a choice between teaching in the primary or secondary tiers, and will be expected to sign a 10 month contract. Six month contracts are also applicable, but are less common.

The positions are usually in Hat Yai, Songkhla and Surat Thani. Other areas include Trang, Phattalung, Satun and Ranong. More than 70 TEFL teachers a year teach on this program, which makes socialising very easy and great for first timers teaching abroad.

The start dates for these positions are May and November, in line with the Thai school year. This can be stretched if absolutely necessary, but teachers are normally expected to be in Thailand by the beginning of each month.
