Q. How long are teaching contracts in Spain?

A. Answer:

Usually schools take people on for 9-10 month contracts, starting in September or early October and finishing in time for summer. This can be an issue if you want to teach in Spain long-term, as you’ll be unemployed during the summer. However, you can easily pick up work at summer schools.
