Q. How long are teaching contracts in Greece?

A. Answer:

Usually schools take people on with 9-10 month contracts, starting in September or early October and finishing in time for summer. This can be an issue if you want to teach in Greece long-term, as you’ll be unemployed during the summer. However, it is possible to pick up work at summer schools, either in Greece or elsewhere in Europe.
