Q. How much holiday will I get per year?

A. Answer:

No paid holidays are included as part of this contract, however you can take unpaid holiday, so long as you give at least two weeks’ notice. If you wish to take an unpaid holiday you should give at least 2 weeks' notice. If you would like to take a longer holiday (e.g. two weeks or more) you need to give one month’s notice.


There is a shut-down over all bank holidays, when you’ll also take up unpaid holdiay. For Christmas, usually from Dec 22nd - Jan 3rd but very often a longer break can be arranged with the school (usually Dec 20th - Jan 5th). For Easter it is the date of Bank Holiday plus one or two days.
