Hello! My name's Zoe, I'm 23 and from Nottingham in England.
I love travelling to different countries around the world and have been lucky enough to build up a pretty impressive repertoire over the years.
From Feb 2010 to July 2010 i lived and worked as an ESL teacher in China (Xingtai, Hebei Province) on the i-to-i / TTC teach in china internship. There were highs and there were lows, but all in all it was a really good experience that i got a lot out of!
I'm currently travelling in Canada and USA, before heading back to the UK in September to do god knows what (probably save up to leave the country again!).
Please get in contact if you have any questions about teaching in China / TEFL / Travelling in general, and i will do my best to help!
Zai jian, Zoe

Hey Zoe,
I am student in India, and I really want to travel and teach. Can i get a teaching job for 4-5 weeks even if I am still without a degree? Do I really have to take up a TEFL course because I don't have that much money.
Also, why do we have to pay for inernships? I thought we would get money to work. I couldn't quite get that part.
Heya,
I heard you had a work placement in Xingtai in China.
I have been offered a job in that city also, and wanted to know what you made of it, and if you would recommend it to me?
Would be nice to hear from you : )

Hi,
Are you looking to work in China?
Do you want to work with Kindergarten children?
Do you want a good Salary?
Do you want weekends off and two ½ days?
If you do, please contact me today. Our kindergarten needs teachers for the new semester starting September. We also have vacancies in our training centers. We are based in GuangZhou, Dongguan, and Foshan all in Guangdong Province, China.
Our school is called CIEO (Canadian International Education Organization)
If you want more details then please get in touch, If you know someone who might be interested then please forward this to them.
If you can’t start September don’t worry, you can still apply as we need teachers throughout the year!
All the best,
Robert
Thanks for the speedy reply! My mom will be very relieved! Being the only child can be overwhelming, espeically when the parents are afraid to let their only offspring out into the great big world. haha! Sorry one more question...I noticed you had a cell phone in the video, did you buy that in China? Or did you bring it with you from the UK? I think it'd be great to have a cell phone in China to make local calls, but literally have no idea where to start for that.
By the way, how was the shopping for groceries? Did you have to bargain a bit for that? I was advised to just keep walking away from the vendor until they get mad and sell me products at the price I want, though I'm not sure that's the most efficient. If you're traveling around the US, you should definitely hit up Hawaii! It's humid, but there's always the beaches to help cool off! =)

Hi, sorry for this random comment, but it seems like you're a great reference for all interns heading off to China. I was just wondering how the internet was? I realize it depends on where you're placed, but in your opinion was internet readily available? My mom was almost hysterical when she read in the newspapers that China's internet was limited, she was counting on things like Skype to keep in touch. I watched your video and it looks like you had a great experience! It was very insightful, thanks for posting it!
hi, i heard from someone that you were in chaina at the moment, but from reading below it sounds like u hav just come back. i hope u dont mind answering a few questions. did u enjoy ur experience? wat age were u teaching? and wat is the cost of living out there? could you live off what u earn?
thanks
Hi there, sorry for the random add. Honor told me that you had just finished the China TEFL Internship, and that you would be a great source to have and I will definitely check out your blogs. Hope you had an ace time. Peace Out - Charlotte
