Hi I'm Will, 28 from Dublin and about to travel the world hopefully teaching TEFL! China Internship is the first port of call this August and then who knows! Plan to travel for a long time and see as much of this planet as possible before I'm over the hill.
I like to read - Jack Kerouac, Bret Easton Ellis, Aldous Huxley, Stephen King and Donna Tartt being my favourites but I'll give anything a bash if someone recommends it!
Like to play sport, mad Liverpool FC supporter but I'm not one of the overly biased fans! Goalie when I play but the old back is starting to get at me!
Movies and Music would be my two main passions, those lists are endless so I'll spare you the boredom!
Nice to meet you anyway!

Hi Will
I am kindda hoping to meet some fellow travel companions along the way too, it would be so nice to have people to share your trip with. I really want to travel around east Asia; Thailand, Vietnam, Japan etc, and use up my visa in China, and see the sights I idn't otherwise see because of my placement location. There are some pretty amazing looking places in China, and everythng is so far apart.
I could go on, I just want to travel, see new things, and have a great time along the way. It depends on where my dosh can get me, I've realised recently i'm quite unorganised. Many people appear to have planned their round the world trips, and I just want to liv eon the edge a bit (go with the flow, i guess, a bit like yourself), and see where the people, places and savings take me. I hope it's achievable, I just want to get out there and see as much as i possibly can, additionally to East Asia. :0)
Hey Will! :0) How's it going your way? Visa bits going ok? I sent my visa bits n pieces off today, eee! I'm super excited, it's only in the last week its really sunk in. It's nice to wake up pretty excited. Gorrr I think it is going to be mad! I just can't believe it's soo soon.
Any ideas where you are thinking of going travelling after China? I noticed you hope to travel about a bit after too. That's really cool, I am hoping I will be able to do the same! Definitely have a good scout out in China beyond my placement. Can't wait to be there soon!!
I know, I've nothing to do at the moment and keep wandering aimlessly around the house. I've learnt a bit of Mandarin. It isn't that difficult, it's just saying the tones right otherwise you will be saying something totally wrong!
Yeah Galway is nice, a lot of my family live in Gort. I used to get sent over when I was a kid for every holiday I had. The place I grew up in London, more or less everyone was Irish so it used to empty of kids on the holidays as we were all shipped off to Ireland. I have a map. I'll be alright, getting lost is all part of the experience. When are you getting into Beijing?
My mother is from Clare, but she's moving to Galway soon. The old man is from Tipperary. I was over in Dublin a few months back and got lost there too, even though I know it pretty well! I was going to go over next week but the flights are stupid money at the moment so I think a few are coming over here. I nearly moved over in January but then thought I'd rather see the world first, and hopefully things will be a bit better. I'd say seeing the world would be better than being stuck in Dublin anyway!
I've got to get from the airport into Beijing in the middle of the night so that should be fun. India was amazing, I would like to go back at some point, I made the mistake of going during the summer so couldn't really see all that much due to the heat and then the rain. My TEFL certificate is my ticket round the world! I hope anyway. I am planning on moving to Ireland myself, as I don't have much family left over here. As you know yourself though it wouldn't really be worth it for a few years.
Haha I'm not sure about that! I'm quite good at getting myself lost in new cities. I went out to get a packet of fags in Mumbai last year and ended up getting lost and wandering around in circles for about an hour. I want to travel down south east Asia to Australia and on to South America. I'm not planning on coming home for a few years so hopefully my TEFL certificate will help me make some money along the way. I might get a working Visa for Australia but not certain yet.
Hey sorry its been so long I've just been trying to finish up my holiday work and totally forgot all about China. Now we have a few weeks left and I am a bit flustered at the thought of how I am going to get everything done in time. Just got my invitation letter two days ago... how about you? When are you flying into Beijing?
Nice one, I'm flying out on the 17th via Hong Kong, getting into Beijing at 10.30pm so it should be an adventure getting to the hostel. Are you planning on doing any travelling after?
