yeh but when you get the single entry u will have to pay still more there to extend it ?

iv been told from the guy at the embassy i wont have to pay more, just gota go to hong kong after to renew it........ and he sed a double entry will b fine?

I booked with STA Travel - I hunted really hard to get it that price. If your flexiable with your dates then you should be able to get something at at simliar price. STA Travel also offer a discount for students and under 25's. I think the Hostel is costing me £20 in total for 4 nights- so its a bargain. We only need single entry into the country- are you wanting to visit Hong Kong while you are there? YOu know its a seperate country, so if you leave to visit Hong Kong and then come back into China then you need a multiple entry VISA.

btw were did u book your flights and is the hostel u staying at near to the airport? i just looked in to it, 17.00 per nites not bad !!

I wont bother trekking back to the airport if the hotel we are going to is closer. I am going to Manchester to apply for my VISA on Monday- I Havent really looked into it much yet, I only got access to some internet today- so just catching up on emails. From the top of my head- we get the single entry VISA and then extend it when we are out there! How did you apply for yours? 

You might be working both XMAS and New Year? I guess both of them have different dates in China! x

also wt visa did u get ? i got the f visa but a double entry where i paid like 90 and i can stay 90 days in china and on the 89th or 90th day id have to go to hong kong to renew it but im sure itoi wanted us to get single entry :s

Hey- I paid £450 about 3 weeks ago, I am flying out on the 19th a few days earlier and staying in a hostel (Happy Dragon Hostel) for a few nights before things begin. You all excited now? 

soooooo happy just got my visa letters!! now its time to look for flights!!
