About Me

My name is Trina and I live in sunny Carpinteria, California 15 minutes from Santa Barbara and I am interested in travel and teaching as everyone here is. I imagine. So nothing new there. But what you don't know about me is I worked for United Airlines and got the traveling bug. I have my BA in Communication and hope to utilize this in my teaching. How can I not? Right? So in a nut shell I am hoping to teach in Portugual, Japan, Italy, Spain, Beijing. I have been to Bejing and Italy but not to Portugal or Spain or Japan.
I am a writer semi-profesisonal and published only at my current works newsletter. Does that count? What I love about life are the changes in the people around me and how life keeps everyone moving, even if they think they lead borning lives and are stuck. So this brings me to TEFL. I am not stuck and I am not bouncing in leaps and bounds either. So I chose TEFL because of the opportunity to teach, really teach and make a change in someones life that improves their chances for a better job, college, international friends and environment. I hope to make a true difference.  Of course travel is important to me. My ideal situation would be 9 months abroad and 3 months back in the states always teaching and being self-supportive, financially speaking.
I look forward to meeting you on-line and maybe abroad. If time permits. Thank you.

Legitamate Contacts for South America

My going abroad is postponed until I get my MFA in Creative Writing in 2015. However, I am searching for legetimate connections for schools and hiring personnel in Argentina, Chili, Peru, Portugual, Malta and any part of Italy. I will be creating a list of schools so that I can bombard them with my CV in hopes to land an English Teaching position full-time for the school years. My goals are to not only be...
