Picking that perfect TEFL course can be a little tricky – you want to be qualified enough to land that dream job, but don’t want to waste time and money doing more study than you need. ‘There’s gotta be more to life than this! I want to find a way to live and work overseas’
For a long-term career as a TEFL teacher you’ll need to take a really comprehensive course like our 140 Hour Combined TEFL Course or our 120 Hour Online TEFL Course if you can’t make it into the classroom. Either way you’ll need to gain relevant teaching experience and build up your teaching resume as you go along.

‘I want to teach abroad for a year or two and have no previous experience’
If you’ve never taught before, a comprehensive TEFL course that includes some practical lesson planning and teaching experience is the best way to impress employers and boost your confidence in the classroom.

We have a range of TEFL courses that you can complete online, which means you can study wherever and whenever it suits you. You get three months to complete our online TEFL courses (and you can increase that if you need to) so you can take things at your own pace.

Many people like to learn in a ‘proper’ classroom setting, which is what makes our Classroom TEFL Courses so popular. You get 20 hours of face-to-face tuition, as well as practical lesson planning and teaching experience. You can also add online elements to our Classroom Courses to get a more comprehensive Combined TEFL Certificate. Another option is a four week residential CELTA course, however these can prove a little expensive and are only really worthwhile if you plan to spend many years teaching English abroad.

Hi Wolfie,
It's not no - whichever course you choose you'll need to pay for upfront - but you can always choose one of the shorter courses (e.g. the 60 hour course), then upgrade it to one of the larger courses at a later date, although this will end up costing more.

Wolfie, as far as I know, there are no payment plans. I've never heard of anyone doing it, and I also asked when I signed up for my class.
is it possible to switch the number of hours in your tefl course. I signed up for the 120 hour. I would like to switch the hours to 100. Is this possible? I do not need a refund i am even willing to pay more if necessary. All i need is a 100 hour certification at the end of the course.
Also, i have completed over 60 hours of the course.
