Just a rant to get out of my head...
I have had an accredited TEFL certificate since January through another company besides i-to-i. However, it seems everything focuses on China, Thailand or other Asian countries. I understand the demand for these places, but some of us have no desire to be in these places. Some of us, like myself, prefer to be in Europe. And for me, I don't even want to bein hot spot European places. I want the places where others normally don't go, i.e. Eastern and Southern Europe. However, the only places in this region that hire are Czech. And don't get me wrong, I would love to visit Prague and such, but are there not any other countries wanting TEFL teachers? I mean the "word" I read all over so many TEFL blogs and articles is that Eastern Europe is dying for TEFL teachers to help with EU abilities. So why can't I find them? Don't get me wrong, I'll work in many places, but I guess I figured wrong when I thought 100s of blogs and articles might have been telling some kind of truth. Oh well, if I can't land a job this coming school year here in Serbia I'll look elsewhere... *end rant*

Good luck on the Poland position!! I'll keep looking.. Definitely appreciate the site though. Never heard of it before. But since I'm American, I'm not always aware of all the awesome British sites.
Sorry - I know that there were jobs in Poland and Serbia the other day as I applied to the Poland advert - hopefully there will be more soon x

Type "TES Jobs" into Google - it should come up right at the top
Then search under TEFL jobs
I've tried all of those listed. Most of them don't even have Serbia as a seach possibility. And just about all other Eastern or Southern European countries aren't listed or don't have listings except Czech. If I can't find work here in Serbia I guess I'll aim for Czech or Spain or somewhere else here in Europe. Thanks for the links!!

Serbia is where I want most. I'm already here. Makes it easy. :) What is this website you're referring to? I've never heard of it! And I thought I had visited them all... one always gets away. Hehehe. Before I left the USA and once I got here to Serbia I emailed a total of 20 schools. Only 3 wrote back. One I visited and they said they weren't hiring. Come to find out that even though most say "email any questions or concerns and we will respond promptly," they do not check their emails. I was even told by the British Council school here in Belgrade, via email, that they don't teach English... Wasn't too happy about that since I knew they did.
Might depend on where you're looking for work - there were a couple of jobs in Poland and Serbia on the Times Educational Supliment Jobs website when I looked the other day - worth a try?!?
Try to keep smiling - they a prob desperate to have you, but all this places cost so much to pay for an advert that they may focua their advertising somewhere else!
