Hi guys, I am really interested in doing an iternship/ tefl course. However, I am working full time at the moment and am just worried whether I am going to have enough time to commit to the course while working as well.
Has anybody else come across this?
I have not done any teaching before and therefore I'm just a bit nervous about the whole thing!
If anybody who has done any of the courses or is part way through has any advice/tips please feel free to message me!

I did the online course while I was working full time and I managed to get it done in 3 weeks. But, saying that, I'm addicted to studying so I spent maybe a couple of hours every other night or sometimes every night doing it. I enjoyed it though, so it didn't seem so much like hard work!
hi sian i did my 120 hour combined tefl course while working full time and yes it was tough and time consuming but if you make an effort and commit to doing a little bit every night or even every second night you will get there and finish in time i completed my course with a week or two to spare and remember listen to what your mind/body is telling you if you're too tired after a days work leave the tefl til the next night! laura
Request a phone call and talk to the staff at i-to-i. I did that and they were really helpful in answering my questions.
Personally, I would say that studying whilst working full time is almost impossible. I tried to do that on a Marketing course previously, but found that the 10 hours per week they said I should be studying really should have been 20 hours and I didn't have that much time.
I'm doing the online study course at the moment and can definitely recommend it, however, I'm currently a full time mum/housewife, so although I'm at home, it's not easy for me to find the time to study either. Consider how much time you really can dedicate to a course, then however long you expect the course to be you should add about 25-50% extra time on top of that just to make sure your expectations are realistic. Doing the course is great, but, it is not easy to study whilst working full time and you will be very easily distracted, so please be aware of that!
