I love languages! I'm fluent in Spanish, French, Italian, and Mandarin Chinese. I'm a bit of a linguaphile to put it mildly. =) I speak some Portuguese and am an intermediate signer ( ASL ).
I adore cats, good books, and classical music. I play violin and piano.
hoping to teach in Indonesia!

Hey, loved your wall post. That's incredible how many languages you speak. I'm trying my hardest out here, its not going tooo badly. I'd love to learn Italian too. Absolutely loving this country and don't think I'm coming home next year, where are you at the mo? Still in the UK?
Thank you so much for helping out on the Taiwan discussion the other day :)
Hope everything is going great with you!
Katie
Hello Sheela!
I hope you don't mind me asking, but we had a post from a lady the other day asking about being a single mum in Taiwan and I wondered if you had any advice for her based on the fact that you've been to Taiwan?

Not to worry if you haven't, but thought I'd stop by anyway and ask :)
Take care,
Katie
Hello there!
This is Leo !
Thank-you for the kind words! I will be in touch with you for sure regarding the lingo hehe. I will keep you posted on what's going on with me, and please do the same! Maybe our paths will cross in the "real world" one day. Good-luck to you as well : )
I applied for the March intake and worked there for the full year.
I understand your nervousness but you can only do your best, if you give it your everything then you can't do anything more. even if you don't get the job you will at least know you tried, and you can always apply again later. Try and be positive and I'm sure something will come up for you, there are other companies out there as well besides Interac so you could certianly look at those too. I would recommend a good website which is gaijinpot.com, it has lots of job adverts that you can apply for.
I am preparing to go back to Japan mainly and working (obviously). :)
I am delighted to hear that Chinese is an easy language to learn! I was a bit worried about that but you helped to put my mind at ease : )
I believe that the people we meet in life we meet for a reason. There is no "accident" or "coincidence" about it! I feel like everyone we meet we should regard as a teacher in some sense. I look at life from a very spiritual point of view if you haven't noticed!
I know what you mean about some people not being interesting in travel or experiencing other cultures. We're all on different paths in life, though. I guess traveling isn't for everyone. I don't get it, but hey we have to keep an open-mind, right?
I will be in China for 5 months, but I will have a visa for 6 months. Hopefully the last month a group of us interns will get together and travel around, I would love that! We shall see how it all falls into place.
Hello :) I have finished the TEFL course a good few months ago now. I am currently in the application process for EPIK in South Korea but i also intend to apply for Interacs Japan programme. Was in Japan for a few weeks a couple of years ago and fell in love with the place absolutely awesome! You speak a LOT of languages! Where are you from at the moment UK like me?
Hello, I'm currently working at i to i as an intern but after this I will be off to Japan again for awhile and then who knows? :)
I think having an honest passion for the country you want to work in will help, if you can be enthusiastic and display your love for the people and the place then that will shine through in your application.
