Hi everyone!! Today 26/01/2012 is my last day in the office, I've enjoyed my internship very much but now it's time to go back to Uni. I'll see you around on Chalkboard! :)
I am Shannon and I was an intern at i-to-i TEFL in Dungarvan and now I'm in Leeds!! I am from Holland and I am going to stay here for almost 6 months, it is a part of my study back in Holland. Back home I study International Business and Languages, and I am in my 3rd year now. I also studied in Austria and I just love being abroad! :)

Groeten,
Niels
Thanks for the post Shannon - Just China and Japan mostly..
Hi to everyone taking the course, tip..do one module at a time do not skip modules...purchase "ESSENTIAL TEFL" from i-to-i worth it's weight in gold! and will be a great help when you do pass for lesson planning and reference, just get it lol, I passed my 140 hr TEFL last year.
Listen to the module markers, and when you get a module question etc wrong take there advise on the feedback, do not get upset!
Tip.before you submit a module to your marker/tutor paste it and do a "spell-check" then copy paste it back on your test sheet with correct spelling... thank god I had (spill-Chick) on my pc lol ha ha we all make typos, but not good so submit them to your TEFL tutor!!!
My feelings are not to go on interships but just go for the TEFL course get your certificates then get paid for teaching it is your future, Asia etc is booming the west is crumbling!!!
Good luck...take advise.
Ray
hei shannon, thanks for the add. can you help me to find any internship for only 3 months?
Hi Shannon,
Thanks so much for your message, it made me feel really welcome in the TEFL community :)
Have a great night!
Tori
Hello. I hope you are well... I am Ray I past my 140 TEFL course some time ago, I also have two BA-degrees one in History and the other in Geography, I have come to a crossroads in life to teach in China or Vietnam, but my real intensions are yo set up my own teaching school in Vietnam or Thailand, My surname is London yes it really is lol.... so I would use a play on words and call my teaching school, (The London school of English) I think that speaks volumes, I have thought hard about this and have friends who are vietnamise and they live in the UK but are leaving to go back to Vietnam as they have had enough of running a business in the UK, it is always best to keep in with people who live in said countries plus they are my long term friends also and trusted!! I have lived in Hong Kong and on a part time bases was teaching English there, super fun.
So if anybody has the ambition and thinks rather than trying to get teaching jobs and being under onther people, maybe just maybe you would like to talk to me and join up with me as a fellow teacher!!... I am honest and open, I am not money orientated just want to be happy out of the uk and teach and be warm "simple" there is a massive demand for "good" small schools in Vietnam etc, if run correctly and run as a business also. I hope to be going there to look about around February as a path finder one could say, I live In Norwich Norfolk UK
Kind Regards from Ray
As i am very new to the site I have replied to you...on my wall! If you have time, check it out :)
