Hey Sol, how's tricks? So are you in Spain then, have you finished the online course? I am in Chile, yup, looking for work (including teaching) having finished my course, albeit only a few weeks ago. I guess we'll see just how much I learned when I stand in front of my first class!

Hi SEFKET I have completed my Bachelors in electronics engineering in 2008 and I am working as a software developer in an MNC for the past one year. I am not interested in this field anymore and I am looking for a career break.
Recently I came across this TEFL certification and am interested in both the travelling aspect and the teaching English aspect. I already teach English to a few kids in an orphanage during my weekends. But I do have a few queries before I take up the course.
(i)Is a TEFL certification completed through a Online course equivalent to the one done in a classroom? I reside in INDIA and classroom training neither seems feasible nor affordable to me. So from a job point of view will I be at par with a person who has done a classroom training or will he/she be given more priority.
(ii)Is this a good career option? Yes I will get a satisfaction of doing what I like but building my career and earning a good income is also important for me. My current salary is 2.2 Lakhs per annum INR i.e. 4900 $ approx
It will be very helpful if you could clear my doubts and give me a better picture about TEFL

Hey Sevket! I'm not sure if i'm using the right place to reply you as this is the first time I'm using tefl chalkboard. I'm in Yueqing - Zhejing area. I'm kind of stuck in the campus but hopefully will have more free time to see around. Thanks
Hi Sol, indeed it is me, can't you tell from the photo!? How goes it? Are you a fully fledged teacher yet? And did you get your hat back?
I am not sure if I will take the course. I will be seeking for a job after I am about to finish that course. Unforunatey, I found out that most employers only hire those individuals from the UK, and many other countries.and Philippines is not included. I think I wouldn't be able to continue. Anyway, thanks for being nice..
