I think that is probably a crime (I had to choose, it was a family holiday, and I was only able to go on half of it as I had to go back to university to finish my dissertation :()
As for flexibility, I guess it depends on where and what you teach. I was teaching summer school and I actually had the opposite problem. I had no training at all, very little warning for some lessons and hardly ever enough material to fill classes (it was fun though! The work was good, it was just the admin stuff, like visas, where we lived etc that I had a problem with!).
Aww, I really want to go and visit my sponsored children as well! I have one in India and one in Thailand! I'd love to go and see them, I'm not sure if I'll be able to this year or not, but I kinda want to try. If not, I'm pretty sure I'll be in Asia again at some point!
Ohh sounds exciting! Sounds like you are well organised! I wouldn't really recommend my school too highly anyways (they were fine for summer work, and definitely not the worst out there, but I wouldn't work for them for longer!). I look forward to seeing your photos! I hope you have all the luck in the world finding a job and that your holiday before is wonderful (I have been to Egypt and I would strongly recommend seeing some of the sites around Luxor if you can).
Coolio. Is it a Contiki tour? I would lurrrrve to go to Egypt! And Israel. And everywhere really. And are you going on own or with your wife? Congrats on finishing the whole course. That's really awesome :)
hmmm, well as i am only working part time right now i have made a goal of 4 hours a day, 4 days a week. but think it was a bit ambitious as my social life is getting in the way! and my love of trashy tv in the night time.
anyway ill see how it goes. yeah, misreading the question is a bummer. well you're a smart boy im sure you'll pass this time around!
do make sure u keep us posted on your adventures. its interesting to see where this course takes people! and good luck with the move.
ciao for now :) sarah
Wow so you're actually relocating! Big job. Well should defo be fun, and winging it is always the best way. I love not knowing whats happening next. Ahh and the food in Asia is so good! NOM.
Yeah I have made myself a time frame to finish this in 2 months rather than 3, just in case of any fails or whatever. Congrats on handing in the last assignment! How satisfying.
Might head to Cambodia in a few months, escape the winter. Don't know how long ill stay there for, but I'm only going to volunteer, and the minimum is a month, so ill just play it by ear i guess and see when my money runs out! I loved Cambodia - beautiful, kind people there - think it was the happiest month of my life so far, so want to give back to them somehow :)
p.s. since I have started the Grammer Awareness course procrastination has become my best friend :-0 haha
Hey again :) you're a fellow Aussie! Whereabouts you from? I live in Sydney....So what made you pick Hong Kong? Do you have a job lined up or you just going to wing it?
No worries - all the best with yours too! :)
Heya. Thanks Sam. I've been doing CP2 and its actually easier than I thought. (well I have the notes to do it, if I didn't I'd be stuffed).
Think I might copy you though and get the Grammar Awareness course out of the way next, now that that my mind is in grammar mode (and to get rid of it!)
Good luck with your studying :)
Hey princess81
Yep, I did the grammar awareness course cos somehow I knew it was gonna be a drag. Because of its 'comprehensiveness' it help me kill CP2. That's just me though... CP2 isn't marked by tutors so you have unlimited submissions so some will get by at trial-and-error at worst case ;)
