Weekend TEFL course

Hey so this is my first blog on here and I just thought I would give my opinions on the weekend course in Leeds I have just completed today. Friday night and saturday morning I was extremely nervous as things like this are completely out of my comfort zone and especially since I knew at the end of each day involved planning and teaching. Within 5 minutes of the course starting on Saturday I felt pretty much completely at ease, which was suprising since I'm a quite person who likes confidence. The people on the course were all fab and the tutor (also fab) made sure we were always moving around grouped and paired with different people which helped me to start talking to others. As we all laughed, struggled and talked about our plans throughout the two days I felt more and more glad that I had done this course. The lesson planning and teaching at the end of each day to say I was so worried about doing was actually not as bad as I had thought it would be. Also learnt some Indonesian although I'm not sure how long I'm going to remember those phrases. Anyway just for those who are nervous about the weekend course don't be because trust me you'll have an absolute blast and the days just fly by.

so for late reply but i woudl definitely recommend doin the weekend course you won't regret it

hi am also in halifax and am doing a 120h online course but am thinking of doing a weekend eventually as further practice so would u rate doing the course

Hey well I'm also doing the online bit I think that gives you more indepth knowledge but I would definitely recommend doing the weekend course as it gives you that little bit of practice and you can get more info out of the tutor as well as the others in the class. I'd say doing both the online and weekend is very helpful and trust me you won't regret doing the weekend course. Also for example on my course a few of them had travelled and one person imparticular his wife teaches english in Thailand so he was giving us some inside info on working in schools in Thailand, which I found really useful.

Hi, fellow Halifax dweller here (unfortunately), so I'm guessing you'd definitely suggest the weekend course, I was thinking of just doing some online, do you think that I'd be missing out, having done the weekend tefl yourself?

Thanks
Simon
