I'm a survivor (aka 'first day at the kindergarten'!!)!

Today was my first day of teaching ESL at the kindergarten...Wow, tough job!! :)

I know, it was the first day, and it's also the first time I'm teaching kids this young (3-5), but I must say I'm pretty tired now!!

Five-year-olds were ok; they've already been exposed to English and they already know a few things, so that wasn't too hard! Then, fortunately, the class was split in two groups, so I had to teach 30 minutes with each group instead of a full hour with every class!! That certainly made things easier!

Then there were the four-year-olds!Once again, the class was split in two groups, which were slightly more undisciplined, but all in all I was a bit more confident and was able to get them to follow me.

The last group, the three-year-olds, were the toughest, of course! Some of them can't even speak, let alone say words in English...So that last half-hour was extremely long!!!I did manage to do something with them too, though! :)

So now that I know what to expect, I'm going to be a bit more prepared, I guess!!

I'll keep you updated on how things go!!
