It's really unbelievable! The job I was about to start tomorrow has literally slipped from my hands... It has been given to someone else due to political affiliation... I'm really mad right now, because this person is apparently someone who's just taken an English course but is going to teach these children without any sort of qualifications!!!!
That's Italy!! Guess I should have seen this coming!! Trouble is, this friend of mine who owns the kindergarten can do nothing about it, because she's being pressured to hire this person...
I'm really, really, really mad!!! :(

That is one thing that really bugs me about Italy!! ...lovely country, terrible habits :/
Ahh well...where there is a will there is a way!
No, he's a woodwind instrument maker and currently maths teacher!! He does speak English, but he's an Intermediate level, so... We'll see what happens, anyway! But you're right, I'm sure I'd earn more and spend less!! :)
Haha...well the world awaits you! You'd be able to earn more in most countries than in Italy and the cost of living will also be lower in most countries...so you could look at it as a good investment :-) Could your boyfriend teach English also?
Yeah! That's a shame, but that's how it works here!! And yes, I was born and live in Italy!! In fact, I'm getting a little restless now and feel every day more like packing my bags and leaving...Only have to convince my boyfriend to come with me...;P
Ahh that's a shame! So you are already living in Italy? I used to work in Italy and all the Italians complained about how getting jobs there works not by merit, but rather who you know...which is a shame!
Thanks Emma!! :) Really hope so! I'm actually considering looking for a job also in other towns nearby, because here the situation is not so good...The school I used to work at (and still collaborate with) was packed with students when I was there full-time and there were 7 teachers. Now I go there twice a week to teach Italian and I never see more than 5-6 students at a time (and there are 4 teachers, of which only two are full-time)!! @__@ But I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway, 'cos you never know... :P
Their loss! Thankfully there are tons of jobs in Italy and I'm sure you'll get another job in no time!
Gracias Carla! ;) Veo que ya sabes algo de italiano, eh? :D Espero que tengas razón y que puedan llegar otras oportunidades!Un saludo
:(
che palle....
Romina, that's terrible!! This just means that you are meant for an even greater opportunity... te deseo muchhhha suerte... y aunque no te pueda ofrecer trabajo yo, te digo que al ver tu perfil, me impresionaste y algun dia me gustaria ser prof. como tu!! Saludos, Carla
Oh no, that's awful luck and so unfair! Hope you find something else soon.
