It seems that every 12 months or so I get the urge to get back on i-to-i and make a new post!
Well it is almost another 12 months and it has been an interesting 12 months indeed. The Global Studio is going from strength to strength with new students and the challenges that come with working in the education system and a private training organisation (as apposed to a government school)
The students have been inspirational, it never ceases to amaze me how much courage they have. The best fun I have had has been working with a group of Japanese women, they are the wives of men here on work visas with Japanese companies and I love them. Happy, joyful English classes that have been filled with laughter and friendship. I will remember these classes forever and I still miss the students when they leave and return to Japan.
We are currently working on an end of year art exhibition. It will take 6 months to complete the program with 10 students learning vocational (screen printing and event management) skills while preparing art and textiles to exhibit at the end of the year. Just hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew this time!

Hi Robyn,
Thank you for your post. It's great to see you're enjoying your time and I'm sure this will prove inspirational for any Chalkboarders who are undecided about taking the plunge into the world of TEFL.
We'd love to see some pictures of the art exhibition!
Take care,
Erin
