Could I have done any less this week?

Well the past week has flown by and I have managed to accomplish nothing worthwhile. I have been on leave for the whole week as my contract ends in what is now fourteen days and I am compelled to use my leave or lose it! Unfortunately money constraints have forced upon me a choice between taking a holiday to somewhere exotic now and enjoying four days in Hong Kong before starting my new job in China, as you can see I chose the city break in Hong Kong as it has always been a city I have wanted to visit.

It may have exaggerated a little when I said I have done nothing, I have of course been a regular patron on Citrus for the past week, Citrus is a ‘family relaxation centre’ or spa to the rest of us. It is located about half way between our house and the school and with my extensive experience of massage and reflexology is the best reflexology in town. They have a big Lazy-boys and screens that rotate in front of you whilst you have the foot massage; they have cable so the opportunities to watch western TV are irresistible, the best part is that for their monthly special they are only charging 20,000IDR per hour…That’s about $2.

Next week is once again a short week for me, on Tuesday it is a public holiday…They have so many of them here compared to the UK it is unbelievable it equates to an average of one per month, in April there are two! Then at the end of the week I have the last day of my annual leave and I will be off to Bangka, which is an island about twice the size of Bali off the east coast of Sumatra. I am going with Astrid and her mom for 3 days and 2 nights, then back to work Monday for my final week.

This week has been a short blog as reading about me sleeping and watching DVDs is not so interesting for you to read.

If you have any questions about teaching in Indonesia or teaching TEFL in general please don’t hesitate to ask me.

haha. Yeah I will probably go to the steak place that we often frequent! Good steak, good beer and good company! :-)

Am so jealous of you right now...

Enjoy the rest of your contract - are you having a leaving party?
