Okay, a few changes have taken place for me and my fella over the last couple of weeks but we are still headed to China to teach. should be all booked up and leaving by mid May, so, its all very exciting!!
First, we had signed a contract with a school in Loudi, and pretty much thought we were going there. Then the school decided to drop out.. I heard that happens a lot in China!! As they hadn't signed the contract their end, they weren't really doing anything wrong I guess. Still a pain though.
Interviewed and signed up with another school fairly quickly and received there signed and stamped contract back so, its all looking good. We have arranged to travel out next month and get some practice in working in a friends language centre til the new semester starts on 1st September.
We are travelling out on a 3 month single entry business visa, which I have just put in the post this morning. Then mid-August, we will go to Hong Kong, change our F to a Z visa and travel back to where the school is located in Handan. Hebei province. A little further North than we would have originally liked, but the school and the people seem really nice! :)
So, yes, we'll be in Shijiazhuang for three months, then HK for a few days, then Handan till next July. all going to plan...but then things never seem to go to plan in this business, do they!!

Wicked Rin, you seem to have gone through half the schools in China, but well done on the signed contract! I still haven't signed one but I just spoke to Cheryl from the school and I'm going out mid-june. Will you have accommodation when you arrive? My god, that'll be about 3 weeks then???
It can be frustrating can't it?
Glad you're getting everything sorted - sounds like you're pretty much set!
Good luck with it all and keep us posted with how you get on.
