Well last week was a strange one. Getting settled and finding a routine was harder than what I thought it was going to be, and missing home a little (didn't think I'd be the type) would do anything for some British TV and a good sunday dinner. The weekend has helped clear my head a little, and after some wise words were thrown around (and a good 12 hours of sleep last night) I feel ready for the week ahead. Maybe I'm being too critical but don't feel like a real teacher yet, despite organising lessons they just never go to plan and I end up forgetting to fully explain what I want from students or confusing them with my northern accent (my tutor said I sounded like that scottish woman from Britains got talent, Susan Boyle? that hurt a bit). Looking forward to seeing mine and my students progress, and finding somewhere to by towels and bedsheets (the cheapest towel I could find was £15, 150 RMB, whats up with that?) and I'v promised myself not to moan as much (or use brackets as much), so wish me luck.

Good luck!
Don't worry too much about not 'feeling' like a teacher yet - after three months in China I still didn't feel proper - it's just a case of doing your best and it's massively satisfying when you see your students making progress (even if it is just with little things).
Totally harsh saying you sound like susan boyle, but maybe you could turn it round and have an X-factorish lesson?!!
