Hi,
Anyone have any advice on vaccinations for Thailand, Korea and China??
I've done some research and found plenty of reccommended vaccines but realistically what would be a must for these countries.. Besides malaria! :)

Chalkboard is i-to-i's TEFL community.
It is currently still in testing phase which could mean you find the odd bug!
Q: What is i-to-i Chalkboard? A: It's the online community of TEFL specialists

Umm, I got rabies (which they recommend anywhere), Typhoid (which has now run out :S), Hep B and possibly some others. I didn't get Japanese encephalitis or Yellow Feaver. I don't think I got Hep A either. I did have to make sure my MMR and Tetanus were up to date as well I think.
Thats great to hear :) Did you have to get many vaccinations for South Korea?? The webistes that I have looked at have a long enough list of reccomended ones but they also reccomend Rabies vaccine for Ireland even though we are rabies free! Haha
I'm in China now and I didn't actually have any vaccines... No problems so far!
Malaria is certainly NOT recommended for Korea (it's too cold) or Thailand (they have done a great job at getting rid of most of the malaria carrying mosquitos) or most of China. If you are going to be travelling to the border of Thailand or some parts of China you MIGHT need it, but don't take it if you don't have to. There are a lot of side effects.
Have a look at NHS Scotland's website (http://www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk/home.aspx) which is probably what your local GP will refer to. Use the dropdown at the bottom left-hand side to select your destination.
