I am a Drama graduate who is getting really tired of working 9-5 in an office. I can not wait to finish my TEFL course so that I can get out there and use my skills, enjoy what I do and Love the places I get to do it in! I love, love, love to travel and I want to be a teacher but before I get all settled into a PGCE and probably completely tied down in a school in this country I want to see the world and teach the world! I could not think of anything better than this, I am so excited to get my adventure started.

Log in to leave a comment or Create an accountHey! I loved reading your About Me and all your blog comments. I feel the SAME about your qualms working 9-5. It never really feels like one can actualize all of their skills or interests in that type of environment. I just finished the 100 hour course and now getting my feet wet with some applications. Hopefully something works out soon! I am excited to make a move. Good luck to you as well!
Hi Rachel!
No worries about all the questions, that's what I'm here for. Have yo been onto the onlinetefl.com website and click on the TEFL Jobs Abroad, yet? It gives a list of the countries that you can apply for a job in through our Job Placement Service and details regarding requirements, FAQ's, etc. We currently have availability in the Chzech Republic (Prague), China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand and Indonesia. We usually have Ecuador on offer, but we have filled all placements her until the end of 2011. All though our service does not cover Italy, it is not to say that you can't get a job there, you just have to be open-minded and proactive in your job search (eg typing "TEFL jobs in Italy" into an internet search engine). I can also offer you some TEFL job websites to search for jobs on (these are sites my weekend course tutor gave me on my course, so you may have them already from your tutor): www.tefl.net, www.tefljobs.com, www.eslbase.com, www.esljobs.com, www.eslcafe.com ...I hope these are enough to get you started.
Good luck in your job hunt!
Sarah :)
