Yeah love Leeds.... but ready for something new! Well I know they say you get put with other interns and that you get a studio apartment but these are two big things I've read in a couple of blogs that haven't happened... would you ask if they absolutely guarantee this would be the case for us?!

That's cool, i think if we go for it there'll be so much to sort out then we will need to chat to check everything is sorted!! 

Spoke to my mum about it today and she thinks its a great idea! I looked at a couple of the other walls... I think basically you do a CV and covering letter and possibly a phone interview? 

That's my thinking... like obviously its not going to be amazing 100% of the time but there ahould be enough amazing experiences to make it worth it plus you'll make new friends! 

Will you let me know what the guy says? Then I think I'll probably call at some point soon... not planning on booking until my exams are over in 3 weeks though! Thanks :) xxx

Yeah I know I've been Waltham, well New Waltham loads cos one of my friends used to live there. Ah cool I applied to Leeds uni too, all those years ago! You enjoyed it? Oh right that would explain what everyone is on about it being in the middle of no where then... The guy who phoned me yesterday is phoning me again tomorrow so I've been proactive and wrote down a list of questions I want to ask him directly, want me to ask anything on your behalf? Yeah, like I said I'm going to be working in Brum all summer till sept 17th but I'll be back in Louth on the odd weekend etc, So that would be wicked :) Im still feeling like I want to do it but need to talk it over with my rents a bit more first and get the cash together! Do you know what the application process is like? I might ask the guy about it tomorrow, I just feel like I need a bit more info first. At the end of the day though it's only 4.5 months its not like an entire year so if you hate it then you can just come back, its not like you're gonna be stuck there forever, but then on the other we might not wanna come back ever lol! Like you said, just got to take that plunge, but like me, you sound like you have no other clue what to do so it seems the obvious choice!!

Yeah been to Louth loads of times, its like 20 minutes away from my house!! Im at Leeds Uni doing English Lit  (and technically Language but only did one module first year haha). I think the internship is 100 miles outside of Bangkok, so no beaches I don't think but I guess thats what the weekends are for!!! 

If you decide to do it and are around in good old Lincs this summer we should meet up for a cup of coffee, or I may be visiting Birmingham at some point as my housemate lives there :) How you feeling about it at the  minute? I think I really wanna do it just need to take the plunge!!! xxx

Haha wow this is a small world, yeah I know where Waltham is lol crazy! What uni are you at and what do you study? I've considered just travelling too but it's just not feesable without work, so it makes sense to work and earn while you're travelling. I havent really done any teaching on my own before, done work placements as a teaching assistant, but I just need that final push to teach properly if you know what I mean? And I think this would be a good opportunity for that. Yeah I heard that about class sizes, crazy isnt it! Would we be on our with all those pupils?! Thats the only thing I'm actually worried about, it's really out of your comfort zone isnt it. Do you know where abouts exactly the internship is based? I read that some people are placed in the middle of no where... I'd rather be in a city I think! xx

Really? I'm from Waltham, just outside of Grimsby! Really is a small world! I have a summer job in Lincs but nothing after that, and from the odd job search I've done there's just no suitable jobs at all! Yeh well I've considered just travelling, but wouldn't really want to do that on my own and this seems like combining travelling with doing something worthwhile to put on your CV! Everybody I know seems sorted for next year and I still have no clear plans! I've never done anything like this, just been on holidays to Spain, Turkey etc. Went to Singapore when I was 10 but don't think that counts... Have you done any teaching before? I haven't and apparently the average class size is like 40/50 haha xxx

You're from Lincolnshire?! Where abouts?! I'm from Louth lol! Small world eh! Im working in Birmingham over summer to save up! I've done the same, I'm not really ready to move back to back of beyond just yet, there is nothing in Lincolnshire!! I feel like the worlds my oyster too :) and if I end up deciding I want to do a PGCE in england then this would be great experience. I travelled to Bulgaria with uni last summer for two weeks and volunteered in an orphanage, then travelled around bulgaria a bit afterwards but thats it, never been outside of Europe! I'm dying to go somewhere new.

That's cool! I've been through so many options of what I'm going to be doing next year and just ended up going round in circles... at the moment I'm just heading back home to Lincolnshire to work for the summer and after that the world is my oyster!!

Yeah i think they rang me the other day but I missed their call. Have you done much travelling or any teaching before? I'd be a complete novice in both!

Yeah all my friends are pretty much doing the same apart from my friend Vic who's already applied to go to Thailand. I havent read any negative reviews though, where did you find them? A guy from i-to-i rang me up yesterday and really nice and helpful, so thats good to know. I dont know of anyone that's done it no, so I guess it's just one of them things you have to task the risk, and once you have the TEFL qualification you can pretty much go and teach anywhere!
