Hey guys.
I'm hoping to teach in Asia or more specifically China, South Korea or maybe Japan.
I love having new experiences in life and discovering new things about people and about myself. I've also wanted to go travelling for a few years now and Teching English Abroad looks like it could be just the ticket :)
I've just taken the plunge and signed up for the 120 hour combined course at i-to-i, last day of the sale too so I've saved myself a few quid :D
I'm applying for a job placement in China at the moment. I really hope I get something, all I've been thinking about for the past few weeks is booking my plane tickets and getting out there :)

Practice means speaking here as it's a speaking skills lesson...hope this helps!
Ah I see - your tutor has asked you to check Q1,8 and 9 when you have identified the tense. Once you have the tense it is easier to answer the following questions. Here are some tips:
Q7 - look at what he does on the board
Q8 - How does he check they understand the meaning - does he not ask any concept questions?
Q9 - watch again - what does he ask them to discuss?
Oh right, I didn't know that.
Thanks Emma you're a star
haha - don't worry about it :-)
Hi Peter,
'used to' is a tense of it's own - it's similar to the past tense, but is used for repeated actions in the past during a period of time 'I used to read books' (but now I don't). Whereas the past simple is used mostly for one action with a specified time ie 'I read a book yesterday'.
I'll have a look now and input my feedback - I'll let you know when I have finished!
Hi there,
Yes it is "used to".
The present perfect is using 'have + past participle' = I have been' 'I have watched'
The past perfect is using 'had + past participle' = 'I had eaten when...' or 'I had read...'
I don't know why you didn't receive feedback for those questions - if you send me your full name (you can do this in a private message if you wish) then I will have a look on the system for you and can provide further feedback to help :-)
