A bitter week for Australia

This week Brisbane experienced its second worst flood to hit Australia since the 1970's.   Yesterday the Brisbane River reached its peak, flooding and inundating thousands of homes and businesses in the city of Brisbane. Wake up!

Ok... so yesterday I went to visit some colleagues in the IT department here at school, and I'm used to the head tech who is a complete wind up merchant... but he really unsettled me... One of my fellow lab techs has worked here for over 15 years. He's mid-late 40's, still lives with his parents, and settled with this job even though he has an outstanding Physics degree.
