Comments - bringing a partner
I can only comment from China.....we have 2 teachers at our university who both have their partners living with them. No problems from the Uni perspective and our apartments are quite spacious for 2 people to live comfortably. I suggest you ask your school but haven't heard of anyone having problems here.
Not sure what the visa situation is though - something you will need to check.
Cheers, Katie
Hey, a lot of places in SK will give you a housing allowance if asked. You could also try asking the schools if they'd be okay with it. Some will frown on it, but some will be okay with it I should think. The appartments are pretty small as a general rule though, and EPIK wouldn't allow it unless you are married. Also, don't try and get work over here. For that you need an E2 visa, and for that you need a job offer. It is almost impossible to get your first job in Korea in Korea unless you have Korean blood.
