Dean - I am not sure about the pinyin on Mandarin, but I am pretty sure it is Red Pocket. So if you find out what red and pocket is in mandarin that would do the trick!

Lai See (Lai Si I think is the ping-yam), is the Cantonese for the red packets. What is the pinyin? Any Putonghua speakers out there? I'm living in Hong Kong, looking forward to going to Beijing over Chinese New Year~~ *woo~
