The dilema of a changeling

So, about a week ago it was crunch time for me to make my decision whether to stay or leave.

I chose to stay put - based on the reason i would have to give up my position and risk not being offered a new one in the location i want (Osaka)

Then a few days ago i received a phone call

"Moshi, Moshi. Interac desu"

"Hai, Moshi, Moshi, Paul desu"

"Hello Paul, hope your ok...i am calling because we have a position for you near Tokyo in Toride"

"What?" (confused voice)

"In Toride. Its a nice city. You can teach at JHS or Elementary, its your choice. Its none driving. 1 hour from Tokyo. In the south. It's what you want. Yes?"

"Um, i said i would stay here"

"Yes, i know but this is what you want. Yes?"

"I'm confused"

"really? Why? This is a nice city. Near Tokyo. In the south"

"I know but i asked for Osaka. My manager told me i would have to give up my position before i would be offered a place. I told him i will stay another year."

"I know. Its ok. Please think about this. I think you will like it more. Please let us know soon"

This is more or less how the conversation went...a day later i emailed the Tokyo office feeling very confused, especially when i had little info on this new place. They responded quickly  - Interac are trying to get back the contracts to Toride. There will be 15 different positions and only people with 1 year experience in japan will be considered. They have both driving and non-driving positions and i would more or less get first dibs

Sound great! right?

I have to make my decision today, again in fact. last week i was staying. This is a great oppotunity BUT its still the wrong city. They were looking at it from the fact i have done a lot of complaining this year - mainly because i was stuck in a small fishing town, away from friends and not able to speak the lingo...2months ago i move to the small city im now in and its been so much better - i had already started planning my second year here, including a brand new apartment, family visiting, trip to australia etc...the dilema has been between a fresh start or a year of comfort...am i ready to move on? would i get another offer like this next year?

so many conflicting ideas.

If it was Osaka - i would say yes...but its near tokyo, the wrong side of tokyo that i would prefer to be on, in Ibaraki - a prefecture i never really looked at :S...

The worst thing - contract havent been confirmed here or there - so either way i could make a decision and I could lose out :S

i have to let them know after work...this is soooo hard
