Also like you I've been a nurse for 30+ years including time in senior management and felt I needed to get out. I've completed my TESOL training and am working out where to start....thinking of Asia as my starting point to seeing the world. Good luck with your ventures and keep in touch as its always good to hear about other places.

Also, while it's great that you're going to be learning Spanish, it's not essential if you want to go and teach English in South America - often language schools prefer it if their teachers don't speak Spanish, as it forces students to speak English and creates an English-speaking atmosphere.
