Hey,

That programme doesn't start until July tho and I want to head out in January.

I haven't done a TEFL course yet. I thought it would be asy to get a paid teaching job once you had that though. That's the impression I was under. Where are you from?

Hey,

Do you have the website address for open doors? When are you planning on leaving and how long are you planning on teaching for?

Have you done  a tefl course yet?

I've been learning spanish since september last year so I will have basic level by then. I might even teach in spain and then once my spanish has got better I'll got ravelling around south america

Hey Nims,

Thanks for the add and welcome to Chalkboard! That's great you're thinking of teaching in South America. Looks like you've got your first step (the TEFL course) under control - in terms of where to go, the big places to head in South/Central America are Ecuador, Mexico and Chile. To get you started in deciding which you'd like to go for, have a chat with these guys who are out there at the minute:

Ecuador: http://www.onlinetefl.com/tefl-chalkboard/alixm09

Mexico: http://www.onlinetefl.com/tefl-chalkboard/littleja55/

Chile: http://www.onlinetefl.com/tefl-chalkboard/sofiakamila - also if you're interested in Chile this program is pretty cool: http://www.puntonorte.cl/voluntarios/programs/full-time/

Hope that all helps - enjoy the site and if you have any questions get in touch!
