Hey Nick. I've been teachig out in Korea for just over 4 months now and I love it! I highly recommend it as a place to teach. I work in a high school which is not as common out here, most people work in either middle or elementary school, but it doesnt make it difficult or anything. My students have a pretty good grasp of English so we can have proper discussion about things. Also, unlike the other schools I don't teach from a textbook so I have free reign to teach what I like. I have about 30-40 students per class; some all girls, all boys or mixed. I see my Grade 2 students once a week and my Grade 1 students once over 2 weeks. My co-teachers are really nice as is my principal/vice-principal. I love it here so much that I'm already planning on staying another year (if they'll have me lol). There are great communities of teachers in various cities so you soon make friends and the further apart they are the more opportunities there are to sight see on days off :D I hope this gives you a better idea of life out here. To be honest with you I think I'm a little behind. I've only gone through the 1st 2 modules on the online course, but the thing is I just moved from one appartment to another, so, that was hectic, and now I'm going to go to a Radiohead concert in Mexico City haha. So I think I'm really putting an effort 'till wednesday when I get back.
How far are you??
