Visit Hong Kong in November for Wine and Dine month

People planning to <a href= “http://www.onlinetefl.com/tefl-jobs-abroad/”>teach English abroad could consider Hong Kong this year as it has been designated Festive Hong Kong 2010, which means a number of cultural events are taking place.

According to Anthony Lau, executive director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, one of the best times to come to the city is in November as it is Wine and Dine month.

He said: “To kick-start the month, we will stage the Wine and Dine Festival at the end of October, against the backdrop of our beautiful Victoria Harbour and cityscape.

”Visitors can enjoy gourmet food and award-winning wines from around the world, as well as live music and entertainment."

Furthermore, people who decide to visit Hong Kong will find it very welcoming, he added.

Mr Lau also recommended the shopping in the region as there are malls, street markets, trendy boutiques and traditional stores to suit everyone’s needs.

According to a press release from the Hong Kong Tourism Board, published on July 27th, the city received record amounts of visitors in the first six months of 2010.

About 16,856,016 people visited Hong Kong in the first half of the year, the tourism board found.
