South America continues to be a popular destination for travellers, maybe even those teaching English abroad, but less traditional locations such as Vietnam and Cambodia are starting to attract more visitors.
According to the ASEAN Hotel Review for June 2010, published on July 30th by STR Global, south east Asia is enjoying a period of strong recovery.
The review found that the tourism market in places such as Singapore and Thailand had experienced positive growth in the month of June.
Round the World Experts agree that destinations in south east Asia are increasing in popularity again and that travellers have a lot to consider.
Brett Warbrick, group marketing and product director at the travel firm, said: “The number one consideration when booking a trip is to think carefully about your priorities – what do you want to get out of your trip, which places are must-sees, and what level of comfort are you looking for.”
He suggests getting in contact with experts who have probably been to the destination and can offer advice.
