Unemployment levels could increase by as much as ten per cent in some regions including Wales, the north west and east.
That is according to the Centre for Economics and Business Research, which revealed on August 31st that the increase in unemployment would occur between 2010 and 2015.
Some areas, such as London and the south, are likely to avoid the largest increases but the labour market in the north will remain weak.
A TEFL course could be an option for those people who will be affected by unemployment in the upcoming years as it can open doors.
People who complete a TEFL course will be trained in how to teach English abroad, which could help them get back into employment.
Stephen Overell, associate director of the Work Foundation, attributes this predicated rise in unemployment to the forthcoming public sector cuts.
He said: "We are expecting the effect to be felt starting in late autumn, but actually, it will affect the next two years at least, probably beyond that."
