The iconic ruins of Machu Picchu are set to open to the public again on April 1st after closing due to flooding, which will no doubt be welcomed by individuals teaching English in Peru.
People staying in the country working at TEFL jobs are likely to want to see the most beautiful and fascinating sights that Peru has to offer, with Machu Picchu probably high up on their to-do list.
The landmark, which was named one of the Seven Wonders of the World in 2007, was rediscovered by the American explorer Hiram Bingham in 1911 and has since attracted a steady flow of tourists.
Recently, the area had to be closed due to flooding and some sections are still not safe for visitors, but the Inca Citadel of Machu is set to re-open and did not suffer any rain damage.
As well as the culture that people teaching English in Peru can discover, the country also has great places for a variety of activities such as trekking, cycling, surfing and mountaineering.
