Environmentally-conscious people who wish to teach English in South America may want to consider opportunities to do so in Columbia.
That is because the country has been selected on a list of the top ten cleanest and greenest countries in the world.
According to Skyscanner, the South American country is developing a reputation among visitors looking for unspoiled natural beauty and eco-friendly travel.
This is thanks to its claims to the world's third largest coral reef, as well as volcanic regions, snow-capped mountains and luscious terrain.
Those staying in Columbia will also be able to enjoy the produce of its coffee growing region in the most sustainable and eco-friendly way possible, rather than contributing to the carbon footprint of freeze-packing and transporting it around the world.
Skyscanner advised: "Visit Colombia’s coffee region, which showcases the country’s biggest (legal) export, and where eco-adventures abound in a landscape of rolling hills and coffee plantations, which can be explored by bike or horseback."
Costa Rica in Central America was also selected on the list, thanks in no small part to the fact that 27 per cent of the country is protected through Wildlife Refuges, Biological Reserves and National Parks.
