TEFL teachers could be in high demand in China for the next five years at least.
That is because the nation is embracing the language as a way of promoting its internationalism, according to The Record.
It is thought that all employees aged under 40 in China will need to know thousands of English phrases within the next five years.
Kindergartens will also start teaching English at a young age to ensure that the young are fluent in the language before they reach adulthood.
As a result, people with a TEFL certificate could find plenty of opportunity to teach English in China.
Current hotspots include Beijing as it is one of the key centres for international businesses and there is a significant expat community in the area to help westerners settle in.
There will also be TEFL job opportunities in Shanghai and Kunming.
People can choose to teach business men the language at a private school or students at a primary or secondary school.
Parents are also starting to send their children, some as young as two, to private language schools to ensure they are fluent by age ten.
