Teaching English in Japan ‘a practical solution’

Posted 11 Mar 2010

Heading overseas to teach English in Japan is a practical solution for one American student, who wants to go there when he finishes his degree in philosophy.

Ben Adelmann, who is in the unusual position of going to college with both his sister and mother at California State University, Northridge, wants to be a lawyer or an artist in the future, but believes teaching abroad is a logical choice right now, according to the Daily Sundial.

He explained to the publication that he went on mission trip to Japan five years ago and has since decided that he would like to go there.

In his opinion, all native English speakers have a real asset as they can potentially teach English abroad or at home if they want to.

One person who decided to become a teacher despite being an established civil engineer is Paudie O’Neill, who told the Irish Times that learning to teach is something that he had wanted to do for years.ADNFCR-2167-ID-19664826-ADNFCR
