Culinary enthusiasts looking for TEFL jobs may wish to extend their search to the Vietnamese capital Ho Chi Minh, which boasts some excellent cuisine.
According to Belinda Jackson, writing in the Sydney Morning Herald, the city offers a wide range of different dishes, from street food and cheap eateries to more upmarket restaurants.
Whichever option those teaching English in Vietnam decide on, the quality and flavour of the cuisine is consistently good.
For seafood lovers in particular, there are some wonderful dishes to discover.
"Fish fans will enjoy canh chua, a fish soup with tamarind, and ca kho to, which is fish caramelised in a clay pot," Ms Jackson said.
As well as delicious food, those looking for TEFL jobs in Vietnam will find that the capital and indeed the whole country is alive with an "intoxicating energy", according to Jonathan Trew.
He wrote in the Scotsman recently that the roads and waterways are always packed with people from dawn to dusk.
