During the holidays, those teaching English in Italy may want to book a stay in the Cortina region of the country, as the mountains hold many delights for visitors, it has been claimed.

Marianne Moretti, project manager at Cortina Turismo, said that as well as the famous Dolomite sunrise, holidaymakers can enjoy the vie ferrate which snake through the peaks.

"[Cortina offers] an exhilarating mountain experience without the need for technical climbing skills. The via ferrata Cascate del Fanes takes you behind one of the tallest waterfalls in the Dolomites," she stated.

Those teaching English in Italy can also enjoy the spectacular views from Mount Tofana, which can be reached by gondola from the town or via a climb for those in good physical condition.

Visitors can also take in the beauty of the Natural Park of the Ampezzo Dolomites, which is home to various species of animal and plant life.
