Teach English in Ecuador ‘and live in an eco-diverse country’

Posted 28 May 2010

Those keen to teach English in a country with a rich and varied landscape may want to look for TEFL jobs in Ecuador.

Scott Shigeoka, writing for the Daily Evergreen, said that he is looking forward to his study abroad programme in the Latin American nation partly because of the natural beauty it boasts.

Part of his experience will include teaching local children and he said that while he had never done something like this before, it is an exciting prospect and one which will teach him a lot.

Mr Shigeoka also said that he is keen to mingle with the locals while there.

"I have heard the people there are incredibly loving, caring, kind and generous. The country is also one of the most eco-diverse countries in the world and is described by many as breathtakingly beautiful," he added.

Newly-qualified EFL teachers may find Ecuador to be a good place to begin their English teaching career, according to the How To Learn German blog.
