Teach English in Colombia ‘and visit Tayrona National Park’

Posted 28 May 2010

Nature lovers teaching English in Colombia may wish to organise a trip to the Tayrona National Park, which has been described as "beautiful" by one journalist.

The reserve, which is around 40km away from Santa Marta, is home to a dizzying array of plant and animal life along with several human tribes, according to Nick Bateman, writing for getreading.co.uk.

"I find it hard to describe the sounds, movements, noises and the beauty of this park," he noted.

Mr Bateman went on to add that while navigating one’s way through the forest is difficult, the rewards for doing so are worth it.

"After a few hours, the forest gives way to white virgin beaches. The sea close to the shore is coloured by the trees," he stated.

The beach at Tayrona National Park was selected as one of the ten beast beaches in the world in a Guardian feature in 2007.
