EFL teachers in Colombia may want to organise a break to the city of Cartagena when they have some free time, as it has been described as a vibrant and beautiful place to visit.
Nick Bateman, writing for getreading.co.uk, said that it is very much geared towards tourism and that holidaymakers will find plenty to enjoy during their stay.
"It has something for everyone; beaches, museums, history and perfect views from places like La Popa Hill which sits above the city and looks over the city harbour," he stated.
For history lovers teaching English in Colombia, there are a number of forts dotted throughout the city, some of which are more than 500 years old, Mr Bateman added.
According to Lonely Planet, visitors to Cartagena should make their way to Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, which it describes as being the greatest and strongest fortress the Spanish ever built outside of their own land.
