TEFL qualified people searching for a job teaching English abroad should tailor their CV towards this career and highlight their relevant skills.
According to the HR Magazine website on July 22nd, more than a third of job seekers have applied for at least 100 jobs but 32 per cent have not been offered an interview or only one.
Keith Potts, chief executive at jobsite.co.uk, suggests that job seekers should be targeted in their applications and that applying for hundreds of irrelevant jobs will not increase their chances.
He said: “Make clear on your covering letter/application/CV that you have the skills and experience that the job requires and ensure that each application is tailored specifically for that job, it may take a bit of extra time, but will be worth it.”
Therefore, people applying for jobs to <a href= “http://www.onlinetefl.com/tefl-jobs-abroad/”>teach English abroad should highlight the skills that they have learnt on a TEFL course and any relevant experience they may have.
Mr Potts also advised job seekers to try and gain some work experience or volunteer as it will improve their skills and prove their motivation to employers.
